An expert from the Centre "Ivan Vučetić" participated in the 33th Annual Meeting of the European Textile and Hair Group (ENFSI ETHG)

From June 10th to 12th, 2026, in Marseille, France, an expert for textile fibres, Martina Majstorović, participated in the Annual Meeting of the European Network of Forensic Science Institutes European Textile and Hair Group.

Plans for establishing a new European Fibre Database were presented at the meeting, as well as for the automation of the expertise process. Numerous presentations followed, covering the evaluation and interpretation of examination results, research on textile fiber transfer, the application of new techniques and instrumental methods, and some interesting cases from practice. As part of this year's meeting, a workshop was also held dedicated to the forensic examination of hair traces, both human and animal. At the end, an analysis of the results of the Proficiency Test and Collaborative Exercise conducted in 2026 was presented.

Attending the annual meeting provided an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences and agree on future mutual cooperation.
