Accreditation scope

The Center is accredited in accordance with the requirements of the HRN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard. The quality management system and obtaining the status of an accredited laboratory include fulfilling all the requirements of the ISO 17025 standard. The development and implementation of complete management system documentation, the development and implementation of written procedures for the implementation of expert methods, validation of expert methods, calibration and regular monitoring of all instruments, implementation and verification of employee qualifications, implementation of internal audits, management of non-compliant work, participation in international PT schemes, are just some of the requirements that the Center implements in order to maintain the quality of its tests and expertise at the highest level.

The Center has 42 accredited forensic methods, which include dactyloscopy, forensic biology, fiber contact traces, forensic toxicology and chemistry, documents and manuscripts, ballistics, mechanoscopy and traffic forensics. The Center is accredited in a flexible scope in the sense that it can implement changes to the work instructions that may not include new techniques and principles.

The expanded flexible scope of accreditation includes part of the Center's methods - biological and toxicological expertise, and for these methods, it is enabled application of new testing methods.
