In Memoriam Dr. Henry C. Lee 1938–2026

With great sadness, we received the news of the passing of Dr. Henry C. Lee, one of the most distinguished forensic scientists of our time.

His work profoundly shaped modern forensic science, and through his knowledge, passion, and dedication to the pursuit of truth, he made an immeasurable contribution to the advancement of criminal investigations worldwide. He was involved in numerous complex cases, educated generations of experts, and continually pushed the boundaries of forensic science.

The staff of the Forensic Science Centre Ivan Vucetic had the honor of attending his lectures, as well as collaborating with him directly in the preparation of CSI exercises, which was an exceptionally valuable and inspiring experience for us.

His legacy remains permanently embedded in the foundations of modern forensics, and his influence will continue to live on through all those who follow in his path.

On behalf of the Ivan Vucetic Centre, we express our sincere condolences to his family, colleagues, and all those who had the privilege of working with him.
